Aldine Education Foundation Awards 191 Seniors With Scholarships

Aldine Education Foundation is excited to award scholarships to Aldine ISD Class of 2020 graduates. This year, the number of scholarships and the total dollars awarded have increased, thanks to generous donors across our community.

More than $513,000 was awarded to 191 graduating Aldine ISD seniors from nine high schools. The students received the competitive scholarship awards through academic rigor, extracurricular activities, dedicating their time to community service, demonstrating a drive for continued educational success, among other factors considered in the review process.

Each year Aldine Education Foundation scholarships are open to all Aldine ISD seniors. The application opens in November each school year. This year, award announcements were shared with students on April 24.

Annually, scholarship funds are received from a wide variety of donors, including individuals, families, and both local and regional companies and foundations. The foundations’ largest group of scholarship supporters is Aldine ISD staff who can choose to donate monies from each paycheck. This year Aldine ISD staff supported 35 students with $105,000 in awards.

Aldine Education Foundation is proud to recognize one top recipient from each Aldine ISD high school. These nine students will receive a $20,000 award over four years, funded through monies received from Noble Drilling.
