Each year, the Aldine Education Foundation (AEF) awards scholarships to graduating Aldine ISD seniors to attend the college of their choice. In 2023, we awarded 434 AEF scholarships totaling $494,200.

2024 Eligibility

  • Applicants must be graduating seniors of a high school within Aldine ISD in Houston, TX during the 2023-2024 school year.
  • Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (collegiate GPA).
  • Applicants must plan on attending an accredited college, university, community college, or technical/trade school.

2024 Aldine Education Foundation Scholarship Prompt

Your essay should be no shorter than 250 words and no more than 500 words (we do count).

 “Please provide a personal statement that highlights your academic achievements, career goals, and the reasons why you believe you are a strong candidate for this scholarship. Include any relevant experiences, challenges you’ve overcome, or community involvement that has shaped your educational journey. Additionally, explain how receiving this scholarship would impact your pursuit of higher education and your future contributions to your field or community.”

This prompt should cover several important aspects:

  • Academic Achievements: It encourages applicants to showcase their academic accomplishments, and is often a key consideration for scholarships.
  • Career Goals: It asks applicants to articulate their long-term aspirations, demonstrating their commitment to their chosen field of study.
