HELP THE FAMILIES OF AISD RECOVER FROM THE 2021 WINTER STORM
Many of our students and staff members were left without electricity, high power bills, spoiled food in the refrigerator, and lost wages after the winter storm in Texas the week of February 15, 2021. Some are still handling the fallout from the winter storm, and low-income families are hardest-hit. Nearly 90% of our families live below the poverty line. Throughout our district, nearly 100% of our buildings experienced power outages, and 67% of our campuses and other buildings experienced damages.
Many in our community have asked how they can help the families of Aldine ISD affected by the winter storm. The Aldine Education Foundation is accepting monetary donations to help families recover. Your gift can be designated for a specific campus, designated for Aldine ISD staff recovery efforts, or gifts without designations will help both students and staff. Simply click here to donate now, https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/AldineEducationFoundation/support.html .
Gift cards for groceries, gas, home improvement, or general retail store can be delivered during regular business hours, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday to Aldine Education Foundation at 2520 W.W. Thorne, Houston, 77073. Please do not mail gift cards.
