The fairways at Tour 18 in Humble, TX came alive on October 23, 2025, as the Aldine Education Foundation hosted its 12th Annual M.B. “Sonny” Donaldson Golf Tournament & Silent Auction. What began as a tribute to a beloved educational leader turned into a powerful testament to community, partnership, and student opportunity.
Community, Camaraderie & Commitment
From the early morning check-in to the final putt, the day was filled with energy, purpose, and collaboration. Golfers, sponsors, volunteers and Aldine ISD staff came together under one shared goal: making a meaningful difference in the lives of students. Thanks to everyone’s generosity and enthusiasm, this year’s event achieved historic levels of success.
Breaking Records for a Bigger Impact
We’re proud to announce that this year’s tournament achieved a new benchmark:

Raised a silent auction high of over $11,500

Generated a total event revenue of $116,174.50

Registered 144 players (36 teams) with 128 players (32 teams) on event day
Every dollar raised will go directly toward student scholarships and teacher grants — real resources that expand access, fuel dreams and amplify educational outcomes in Aldine ISD.

This annual event honors the remarkable legacy of former Aldine ISD Superintendent M.B. “Sonny” Donaldson, an educator who believed deeply in service, opportunity and community partnership. His vision continues to guide our work today: forging pathways to success for students and recognizing excellence among educators.
