The Aldine Education Foundation (AEF), in partnership with Space Center Houston and the Just Keep Livin Foundation, launched Mission Mindset on Monday, Feb. 23, with an immersive kickoff experience designed specifically for Aldine ISD students from Carver High School.

Mission Mindset is a collaborative enrichment initiative that merges social-emotional learning, health and STEM exploration through the lens of spaceflight. The program empowers students to build resilience, strengthen teamwork, and connect classroom learning to real-world applications.

Carver High School students engaged in hands-on experiences and interactive STEM exploration at Space Center Houston, gaining exposure to career pathways while expanding confidence and curiosity.

The five-day experience is hosted at Space Center Houston and immerses students in hands-on STEM exploration, leadership development, and real-world application. The program concludes with a culminating experience that reinforces learning, builds confidence, and expands curiosity.

“Mission Mindset is about access and belief,” said Jermani Atkinson, director of the Aldine Education Foundation. “When students are immersed in environments that model innovation and excellence, their perspective shifts. Exposure creates confidence, and confidence drives achievement.”
