The Aldine Education Foundation (AEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring every Aldine ISD student has the opportunity to pursue higher education and every teacher has the resources to bring innovative ideas to life in the classroom.
Founded in 2012, AEF grew out of the Aldine Scholarship Fund (ASF), which began in 1991 when community members pooled their resources to award small scholarships to Aldine ISD graduates. What started with a few donations has grown into a robust foundation that provides scholarships, classroom innovation grants, and recognition for outstanding educators across the district.
Today, AEF continues to build partnerships with individuals, businesses, and organizations who believe in investing in the future of Aldine ISD students and educators.

The Founding Vision
The Aldine community bid farewell to the Aldine Scholarship Foundation (ASF), and welcomed the Aldine Education Foundation at a luncheon at the Hyatt North Houston Hotel on Wednesday, Sept. 12. The luncheon was held to honor the East Aldine Management District, raise contributions for ASF and introduce the formation of the Aldine Education Foundation.

Inaugural Year of the Golf Tournament
The first annual AEF Golf Tournament took place at Cypresswood Golf Course. Close to 100 golfers participated in the event. Former Superintendent M.B. “Sonny” Donaldson served as the tournament’s honorary chairman.

10th Anniversary
The foundation sold out the 2022 Annual M.B. “Sonny” Donaldson Golf Tournament, raising a record-breaking $100,000 in support of scholarships for graduating seniors. The annual Your Dollar Makes a Difference, currently raising funds, has reached, as of Dec. 15, 87.33% of the $150,000 goal. The AEF Board also focused on building the endowment, and a planned giving program as a great way to grow and benefit even more AISD grads.
